In 2009, Miguel started his riding experience in an academy called Equitop, with Camilo João Borges. Camilo is the one with whom Miguel started competing, in 2010, having acquired, in that same year, the Title of National Champion of juveniles with the horse For Sale.
Between 2010 and 2015, Miguel learned and developed his aptitudes as a rider and obtained several titles. In 2012 and 2013 he managed to win the bronze medal and also to win the title of national vice-champion in the juniors’ division, respectively, with the horse Coolman. In the following year, he stood out in the juniors’ division, achieving the title of National Champion, with the horse Weserprinz, which was the one that had the biggest impact on his journey as arider, according to the author. In 2015 and after six very enriching years, he changed facilities and, consequently, he also changed instructors, now training with the Olympic rider Daniel Pinto, with whom he improved his skills and sensibility as a rider. Stillin 2015, he started competing internationally, standing out in the National juniors’ team in Europe’s Competition and also for acquiring the third place in the podium, nationally, in young rider’s division. In 2016, Miguel got the title of young rider’s National Champion, still with the horse Weserprinz. However, it was their last year together.
Nowadays, Miguel is a college student and is currently practicing in Quinta da Estribeira’s facilities, where the horses are trained to compete national and internationally.
Miguel has always been a horse-riding enthusiast, particularly in Dressage, being very proud to be able to contribute for everyone that has this passion, through this book.
