Maria is an archaeologist, but she is also the guardian of an ancient secret.

During an academic trip to Stirling, her rational world begins to unravel.

Visions and fragments of memory reveal a personal connection to lost knowledge spanning centuries and to the threat of an ancient cycle on the verge of beginning once again.

From Stirling to Cairo, from Alexandria to the desert of Raphia, Maria is drawn into a symbolic and initiatory journey that transcends the boundaries of time.

Chosen without knowing it, she is the only one capable of bringing together the four sacred scarabs, seals of an ancient covenant between life, death and eternity.

But hidden forces, corrupted heirs to the syncretic cult of Serapis, seek to use her to reopen a path towards absolute dominion over the living and the dead.

Amid betrayal, revelatory dreams and a forgotten lineage of female guardians, Maria must confront the ghosts of the past, and those she loves, to prevent the repetition of an ancient ritual capable of changing the course of history.

A story weaving together archaeology, Egyptian spirituality, love and destiny, in a world where time is not a line, but a spiral.
